Jee Davis is University Librarian at American University, where she provides comprehensive leadership for the university’s library system, advancing strategic direction, organizational development, and service innovation to support research, teaching, and student success. She leads institutional transformation through organizational assessment, inclusive strategic planning, and values-driven management, with a strong commitment to ethical leadership and inclusive excellence as foundational principles guiding her practice. As a member of American University’s Deans’ Council and President’s Council, she contributes to campuswide leadership, governance, and institutional strategy. Prior to joining American University, Davis served as Associate University Librarian for Collections and Stewardship at Villanova University Library, where she led collections strategy and resource stewardship initiatives, and held multiple roles at the University of Texas Libraries, including Head of Cataloging and Metadata Services, where she advanced technical services and metadata innovation. She is an alumna of nationally recognized leadership programs, including the Minnesota Institute for Early Career Librarians and the Association of Research Libraries Leadership and Career Development Program, and continues to advance organizational effectiveness and innovation in academic libraries through strategic, inclusive leadership.
